Chris PriceInMotion President Like so many others, Chris was in her first tutu at age five. However, she didn’t begin dancing seriously until the age of eleven focusing on jazz, tap, and ballet which gave her opportunities to perform and compete on a local and national level. Her dance training also became the basis for accomplishments as an All-American Drillteam member selected to perform throughout the country, including the Hula Bowl. She went on to direct and coordinate camps and performances for the All-American Drillteam throughout the United States. Chris was awarded a dance scholarship to attend the University of Hawaii as a Rainbow Dancer. In 2010,after over twenty years of marriage, family and a career as a Health Care Executive, Chris decided to turn her focus back to her love of dance by launching InMotion. You’ll find that Chris’s positive enthusiasm weaves its way throughout the entire InMotion organization, from beginning children’s classes to sessions for adults. |

Meghan Raser-ShepardStudio Director Dance has been like oxygen for me ever since I was a young child. My dancing has taken me all over the West Coast and as far away as Scotland. After dancing in Los Angeles and Portland I decided to expand my dance education at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. I graduated, with honors, and received my Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis in dance performance and choreography. After graduation I performed with local Seattle companies and am now a member of the professional dance company Jerboa Dance. I think dance makes a person whole. It allows you to find out and express yourself. In dance, your whole body, mind and soul work together. Not many activities require this of oneself. I think it gives you a peace that you can't find anywhere else. |
Sara Burns MilovChildren Director Ms. Milov is a native of Pittsburgh, PA where she grew up studying dance at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. During her high school years, Sara attended the prestigious School of American Ballet in New York City on full scholarship. Under the directorship of Patricia Wilde, she was the youngest girl to join the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre company. Ms. Milov was later accepted into the Pacific Northwest Ballet, as a corps de ballet member by Francia Russell. After her professional dancing career, Sara obtained an AA degree and a certificate in Early Childhood Education, and has taught the Creative Movement and Beginning Ballet levels in schools around the Seattle area. She is a devoted mother to her two young children, and she is also married to Pacific Northwest Ballet dancer, Stanko Milov. |
Marie RichmondDance Instructor Marie caught the dancing bug at the age of five. Early symptoms took the form of tutu obsession, but after her first ballet class she was hooked on movement itself. She received her training from Liberty Bay Danceworks and Westlake Dance Center in Seattle. Marie has been teaching ballet, jazz and creative movement classes for over eight years. Currently she focuses on younger dancers. Her classes integrate body awareness and proper technique, with a healthy dose of boisterous goofiness sprinkled throughout. Marie wants to help children find and develop correct posture and technique, as well as their love of dance and movement. |
Shawn EllisonHip Hop and Acro Instructor Shawn specializes in the emerging art of Hip Hop, although he also has talent in singing, gymnastics and other artistic activities. He is a natural performer, and enjoys teaching others to find the performer within themselves. |
Kristin OzunaDance Instructor My emphasis is on classical ballet and modern dance. I have performed with Ballet Basis, Ballet El Paso, and IDT Dance Theatre, all in El Paso Texas. I have taught both children’s and company classes. I was trained in the Vagonova style of classical ballet. I also received training in several styles of Modern dance including Jose Limon and Martha Graham. I have choreographed and set pieces for numerous performances. I received a B.A. in May of 2008, with a minor in Dance. I initially began dancing as a teen at the urging of a friend during a particularly turbulent time in my life. Dance provided stability, discipline, and the companionship that I was so severely lacking. Dance gave me not only a doorway into the amazing world of performing arts, but also into camaraderie and the pursuit of an ideal lofty enough to inspire long term commitment. I strongly believe that the most important aspect of dance is to teach a love of movement. Although all students may not carry dance into their adult lives, they will benefit from the discipline, self esteem and physical strength dance affords. Truly, dance is a powerful art, in which your body is the canvas, paintbrush and color. What more could an artist ask for? |
