Our goal is provide the best dance instruction in the region.
Please do your part by following these policies:
Tuition: Tuition is calculated by the number of class hours taken per week, per family (combining sibling hours) to provide a reduced rate when multiple family members are enrolled. Tuition is due at the office the first week of each month, payable by cash, check, or online through your family InMotion account.
Rate Schedule:
Each additional hour beyond seven hours per week = additional $23 per month
Private Lessons
Half-hour = $25
One Hour = $45
Cost is per session
Annual Registration Fee is $15 per student, $30 per family.
Pro-Rating of Tuition is only available if class enrollment occurs after the first week of the month. Otherwise missed classes and vacations will not be refunded or pro-rated.
Dropping Classes requires one month notice (including paid tuition).
Dress Code: All Ballet classes at all levels require a black leotard, pink footed tights, and pink ballet shoes. For continuing LBD students class leotards are still permitted; however all new students are asked to purchase a black leotard of their choice. Baggy clothes; sweatpants, basketball shorts, and loose-fitting tshirts are only permitted in HipHop class. For Jazz, Tap, Modern and other non-ballet classes, form fitting clothes are required. Specific jazz shoes and foot undies are at the discretion of the individual teacher. Black leotards are a good base for any class outfit, therefore they are encouraged for all forms of dance, not just ballet. Hair is to be in a proper bun for all Ballet classes, and pulled up and off the face for all other classes. More information available at the office or with your teacher.
The Studio will be closed: February 15th Presidents Day; March 29th - April 4th CKSD Spring Break, classes resuming Monday, April 5th. May 31st Memorial Day InMotion will be following the North Kitsap School District schedule for Weather Closures. The studio voicemail and website will be updated with any closures, delays, or specific cancellations due to the weather.
Absence: Please notify the office of any planned or last minute absences. If your child misses a class they have the option of dropping into another class of the same level or style. Please notify the office and they will arrange a make-up class.

Parent Guidelines:
(Creative Movement, Creative Ballet and Beg. Ballet)
In order for your child(ren) to be able to participate fully in dance class, there are a few guidelines that will help them be prepared, and benefit from their dance experience.
Before class starts, be sure your dancer is adhering to the following etiquette:
Hair: If girls have longer hair it should be securely pulled up away from the face and neck before they come to class. The traditional ìballet bunî can be done by pulling hair up into a ponytail first (usually wet hair is easier to work with), then twisted around into the bun shape and secured by using hair pins, and covered with a hairnet or ìbun warmerî. Hairspray and/or gel will help it stay secure as well.
Ballet attire: Girls should wear leotards, tights, skirts, and shoes that fit properly. Shoes should have stray elastics or strings trimmed and tucked neatly inside the shoe. Clothing and shoes that are too lose or too tight can cause distractions in the studio. Please consult your childís instructor(s) for advice about properly fitting shoes.
ï Please have your child(ren) have a drink of water, and use the bathroom before class starts. Also, if they are feeling hungry, a light snack could be given a few minutes before class starts.
ï Please encourage your child(ren) to raise their hands and ask permission if they need to leave the studio for any reason. This is also a safety precaution, as we donít want your child to be unattended in the building for any reason. Continuously leaving the studio also disrupts the flow of the class for the other students. We also want to teach the dancers respect and discipline with gentle guidance!
ï If your child(ren) is feeling sick, or exhausted, it may be best to keep them home to rest for the day. If they arenít feeling their best, they wonít want to participate in dance class and have fun! Please call the studios to let us know if your child(ren) will be absent for class.
Thanks so much to all of you dedicated and compassionate parents and caregivers for your ongoing support and cooperation! We want your child to love coming to dance class, to learn and to have fun!
